The Palm Beaches

Historical. Fishing. Snorkeling. Large 18-acre park with a lot of activities. Being recently renovated, it has plenty of picnic tables, shade trees, and ample parking. Separated into two parts; the picnic area and boat docking and a children’s swimming area on one end, the other end has a concrete walkway and lots of room for fishing. Beautiful view of Jupiter Inlet and the boats coming and going. The historical Jupiter lighthouse can be viewed from both parts of the park. Volleyball. Surfing. Jetty. A large sandy beach that is clean and comfortable. This is a great place to relax and watch the waves run into the jetty. If you are the more active type feel free to surf with the locals, play some volleyball or grab your fishing pole! Amphitheater. Exercise Course. Café. Massive beachfront park with so much to do, you might have to come back for more! This is a family-friendly park with plenty of parking and picnic tables, several playground areas, bocce ball court, mile long bark-covered jogging track with “fitness stations”, and an eatery (Loggerhead Cafe), all adjacent to the beach. The beach highlight for the kids is a visit at high tide when the water is swooshing through the sandstone rock formations at the north end of the beach. Volleyball. Swimming. Picnics. It doesn’t matter if it’s July or January, the Florida sun provides beach weather year-round, and Ocean Cay Park is a great place to enjoy it. The 13-acre park is a great place to stop and have lunch. With a lot of picnic tables, covered seating and bus parking it’s good for large groups as well. Swimming. Volleyball. Music Venue. Singer Island Municipal Beach is one of the famous tourist attractions on Singer Island. You can sit by the promenade and simply take in the fantastic views, or enjoy a nice walk along the stretch of pristine white sand. The Underwater Snorkel Trail is one of the world’s premier dive spots for both experienced scuba divers and beginner snorkelers alike. Yahoo Travel recently named Phil Foster in its Top 12 Snorkeling Spots. The trail spreads across a two-area acre beneath the Blue Heron Bridge spanning the Lake Worth Inlet. Underwater photographers delight in the abundance of unique marine life, with frequent visits from stingrays, eels, giant starfish, brightly-colored tropical fish and even an occasional octopus or manatee. Three submerged sculptures of hammerhead sharks, donated by artist and West Palm Beach resident Thomas McDonald, seem to invite visitors to post with them for underwater “shark selfie” photos. Swimming. Pier. Historical. A little island with a lot to see. There is a water taxi service to provide nautical transport for a small fee. For all sun lovers there is snorkeling, fishing and swimming for all levels. Enjoy the Palm Beach Maritime Museum and the historic John F. Kennedy Bunker if you ever need a break from the sun. Be sure to bring everything you need to make your visit comfortable, since there is not a concession area on the island. Swimming. Downtown. Historical. Commonly referred to as “mid-town beach” One of Palm Beach’s two beautiful public beaches, kept pleasantly seaweed-free by the town. The area exudes Palm Beach at its finest: historical, beautiful and well kept, a must see when you are visiting! Amenities include: Parking, BBQ grills, and Showers.

Manatees. Sunrise. Boating. Along with manatee sightings, you can be sure to have access to a unique feature for non-motorized vessel launching. A Veterans Memorial is located at the entrance to the park. A 1/3-mile concrete path winds around a small lake with a floating fountain. When the park was built, the existing mangrove and native coastal planting areas in the southeast corner of the property were preserved. Marina. Boat Rentals. Fishing. The park is situated along the Intracoastal Waterway, and offers picnic pavilions and a playground. There is a marina and about 20 rentable boat slips, with a café for concessions. Across the street from the parking and picnic areas, you’ll find 600 feet of guarded beach. Secluded. Relaxing. Swimming. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the palms, breeze and Atlantic Ocean, this is the beach for you. Bring what you need, and enjoy the Florida lifestyle! Amenities include: Showers, Fishing, and Parking.

Sea Turtles. Sunrise. Bike Racks. This 12-acre beach park got a face lift in 2011, and families have found even more reason to flock to it for the lovely new Brazilian-walnut hardwood boardwalk plethora of parking spots and a sail-shade canopy-covered walkways and benches. Kids will get a kick out of the playground and adorable large sea turtle sculpture while grown-ups will appreciate that it was made of repossessed metal from an oil rig by a local artist. Free beach wheelchairs are available, as are umbrellas and lounge chair rentals for a small fee, and a concession dishes up sandwiches, salads, and snacks like ice cream. Kayaking. Swim. Shop. Fun in the sun! Area attractions include restaurants, recreational rental facility and shopping. At the south end of Delray Municipal Beach, there is plenty of white sand to dig your feet into and take a leisurely stroll. Snorkel. Nature Walk. Golf. Be entertained all day at Red Reef Park. A renovated boardwalk offers a pavilion, benches and a beautiful view of the ocean. At the end of the boardwalk is a brick walkway that extends to South Beach, and from there another walkway to the Palmetto Park pavilion. There is also a 9-hole golf course beside the ocean, and Gumbo Limbo Center for the nature lovers. Amenities include: Parking, lifeguards on duty, Restrooms, and Picnic Area with grills.

Bird Watching. Unique Foliage. Swim. A popular beach that doesn’t always get the traffic more developed beaches do, South Beach offers a lovely, lifeguard-patrolled coastline. Swimming attracts most folks, but you’ll find opportunity for snorkeling as well. Amenities include: Parking, and lifeguards on duty.

Volleyball. Fish. Sunbathe. Here the sand meets your toes and you can relax, join in on a volley ball game, grab your fishing pole or enjoy the view of the jetty. Historical. Nature Trails. Camping. Known in earlier times as Boca Raton’s Lagoon, remnants of the meandering stream are still visible in the park. This massive and leafy park, between Ocean Blvd., and the Intracoastal Waterway, is a fine 95 acres of waterfront property, a vast grassy area, picnic tables, a 40ft observation tower and well-shaded nature trails that are clearly loved by the locals who you’ll see jogging, fast-walking and strolling along here. Through three tunnels under Ocean Blvd., you can walk to the wild beach, with nothing but sand dunes and surfers to distract you.
