Yaquina Bay Lighthouse

Located in Yaquina Bay State Park, this lighthouse was built in 1871. It is the last historic wooden lighthouse in Oregon. See the ocean from a whole new vantage point at Yaquina Bay, and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets you can admire from the Lighthouse!

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium

Next to the Wax Museum and the Undersea Gardens is this Odditorium. Full of interesting and strange items as well as collected oddities from around the world.

Devil's Punch Bowl State Park

Devil's Punch Bowl State Park

Created in 1929, Devil's Punch Bowl is a scenic overlook, a popular surfing spot ,and great place for whale watching. The park gets its name from its shape, since it features a large bowl naturally carved in the rocks. Sunsets are a must-see here, as well as the foam of the waves smashing hard as they enter the bowl!

Yaquina Bay Bridge

Yaquina Bay Bridge

This recognizable arch bridge was one of the 101 bridges designed by Conde McCullough. The construction started on August 1, 1934 and now the bridge features a distinctive mix of Art Deco design motives and Gothic Architecture forms. The Yaquina Bay Bridge, with its total lenght of 3,223 ft (982 m), was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 5, 2005.

Hatfield Marine Science Center

Hatfield Marine Science Center

The visitor center at the Hatfield Marine Science Center has exhibits featuring live animals to teach guests about marine life. Live events and educational seminars are held as well. Check the website for information on upcoming events!

Newport Symphony Orchestra

Newport Symphony Orchestra

The only full-season symphony on the Oregon Coast, this group strives to educate about and make more accessible classical music to Newport. The venue where concerts take place is Newport performing art centers.

Fisherman's Memorial Walk

Fisherman's Memorial Walk

Located in the Bayfront District, the pathway consists of stones engraved with the names of fishermen lost at sea. Each tile features the name of the fisherman, the date and the fishing vessel. There are over 100 recorded fishermen from Newport who were lost at sea, with the oldest recorded in 1920 and the most recent in 2007.

Burrows House Museum

Burrows House Museum

One of two structures maintained by the Lincoln County Historical Society, the historic Burrows House was converted to a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Oregon Coast during the period of 1895-1978. The architecture is styled after the Queen-Anne Victorian homes.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

Oregon Coast Aquarium

One of the top tourist attractions in the area, the aquarium, recognized for excellence both locally and nationally, offers the opportunity to shake "hands" with a giant octopus and kiss a sea lion. This is fun for everyone on your trip!

Agate Beach State Recreation Site

Agate Beach is located only one mile north of Newport. The popular destination commonly draws surfers and sun worshipers, and farmers even once lead their cattle through the tunnel for a taste of sea salt!

It's impossible to journey to Newport and not encounter folks looking to catch and cook crab! Many charter operators offer crabbing trips and provide facilities for cooking. Both crabbing and clamming are excellent in Yaquina Bay.

Guided kayak tours are offered on nearby Beaver Creek. It winds through coastal wetlands inhabited by a variety of wildlife. The number of people who register and the availability of guides determine tour schedules.
