Promoting sustainable agriculture, making and serving slow foods and generally providing a tasty little oasis of thoughtful and healthy living is their mission. Here you'll find vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options as well as a kids menu.

The Cafe Meow is the first cafe in Minneapolis that has a cat lounge, where up to 15 rescued cats are waiting to receive your love in the form of strokes. After entering the regular coffee shop selling hot beverages and pastries, you have to pay a fee to enter the cat lounge for an hour, but there are discounts on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. All resident cats are available for adoption.

This little cafe is very colorful, from the mural with birds on the wall to the mugs, plates and beautifully decorated muffins. All of the coffees they serve at Sparrow Cafe are fair trade and organic, and they take pride in it. They also serve special flavors like amaretto coffee, maple latte and peppermint mocha, along with a good selection of teas.

At Cafe Astoria, the presentation of food and drinks is taken just as seriously as their quality. Come here for some amazing latte art, colorful smoothie or oatmeal bowls, and crepes with a variety of fillings.
