No visit to Nashville would be complete without a night in The District — a 20-block area that serves as Nashville's nightlife epicenter. Many of Nashville’s famous nightspots are found on Broadway between 1st and 5th avenues. This strip is better known as the Honky Tonk Row. For the uninitiated, a Honky Tonk is an establishment that has at least one live music stage, cold drinks and a party that lasts all day every day.

The more introverted types might like to sip on a craft cocktail at a rooftop bar. There’s no wrong way to spend your Nashville nights.

Nashville is trendy but casual, so don't go overboard unless you are feeling it. Wear a pair of jeans, your favourite flannel or plaid shirt, some boots (not cowboy boots. come on!), a neutral hat, a broken-in leather jacket, and a dress that makes you feel good.

Legends Corner

Legends Corner

Located on top of the Broadway right beside the Ryman theater, the Legends Corner is a classic honky-tonk with dancing and cold beer. Album covers, posters, photos and signed instruments prove that a lot of the artists have stopped by here. Enjoy a high-energy band that engages the crowd and reasonably priced drinks.

The District

The District

Situated in the heart of downtown, The District is a vibrant and a total fun area. Here you will find countless bars and restaurants that are all devoted to country music. In addition, there are long-standing stores selling western wear or vintage vinyl, cafes, ice cream and candy stores located here too. All you need to do is dive into the country feeling. The District is home to the Johnny Cash Museum and the Patsy Cline Museum. The stretch of Broadway from the Ryman Auditorium to the riverfront is known as the Honky Tonk Highway, where the honky tonks stay open until 3am every night and don't charge cover for their live music.

A Pub crawl is a great way to see Nashville and start your evening with some laughter, music and drinks while learning the history of the city and listening to some funny stories. There are numerous companies offering pub crawls at different price points and some tours are themed. Hick Chick Tours and Music City Pub Crawl are probably the most reputable ones.
