Hanö, a fairytale island only half an hour by boat from Nogersund, beckons with a magical charm. The brief ferry ride reveals captivating stories, notably the Dragon tale, where a dragon crashed upon the lighthouse's first lighting. Hanö enchants visitors with three beautiful bathing places, a restaurant overlooking Hanö Bay, and a rich maritime heritage dating back to the 1800s.

Aspö

Aspö

To Aspö, an island with about 500 inhabitants, you can take less than half an hour with the Aspöfärjan from Handelshamnen in Karlskrona. There is plenty to do here and if you have a bike with you, Aspö offers two-mile-long rounds on winding roads that take you deep into the island's summer wilderness. Along the way, you can cool off at the island's bathing area or take a lovely dip from the cliffs. If you are interested in art, you can stop at one of the malls on the island. Queen's Castle, dating from the 17th century, is part of the World Heritage and definitely a must-visit during the Aspö stay.
