Poznań Malta Festival is the biggest and the most famous festival that is organized in Poznań. It started out as a festival to promote street theater and street art. Back in the day most shows took place at Malta Lake, located in the center of the city, that’s where the Festival gets its name from. With time due to its popularity and great reputation the festival expanded and became one of the most influential festivals in Europe dedicated to performative art forms. For a number of years now each edition has had a main topic around which the whole festival revolves. Examples for these topics are: Asia, South America, Man & Machine.

Ethno Port is often referred to as a „musical harbor” for acts from around the globe that are involved in creating ethnic sounds. During the 3 amazing days in June Poznań becomes filled with the inspirational sounds and vibes form basically each part of the world. During the festival one might also like to attend different types of workshops and/or meets and greets with musicians, cultural anthropologists as well as folk music experts.

Poznań Tourist Organisation with partners invites to the Poznań Fortress Days, which are held every year at the end of August. This years' edition of Poznan Fortress Days will again focus not only on the Prussian Fortress, but also on medieval fortifications. This will be the opportunity to visit and experience Fort III, Fort IVa, Fort Va, Fort VI, Fort VII, museums in the Citadel Park, Cathedral Sluice, "Genius Loci" Archeological Reserve, air raid shelter in Wilson Park and more.

In Poznań, November 11th - Polish Independence Day - takes on a very special form. One of Poznań’s main streets - Święty Marcin Street - celebrates its name day. A colourful parade merrily rolls through the city, with both locals and many tourists enjoying the world famous Saint Martin’s Croissants. This exceptional holiday has become Poznań’s trademark in comparison to other cities as well as a proof that such occasions can and should be celebrated not only in a formal way.

During the Festival in the Old Market Square, the medieval heart of the city, visitors to the event will be able to observe the process of creating the unique sculptures. The event's participants are the most talented artists and world champions in ice sculpture.

Poznań Bethlehem 2016 will take us to a true winter land. A land full of ice, snowflakes and Christmas attractions, and all of it thanks to original arrangements that will be located on the Old Market Square (03-22.12.2016) and Plac Wolności (Freedom Square, 26.11-22.12.2016) of Poznań during this magical time. Organizers prepared many attractions, including concerts, meetings with Santa Claus and Christmas tree illumination.
