Alghero’s bars are the focus of the town’s nightlife. Be on the ramparts for sunset, and stroll from bar to bar along the Spiaggia di San Giovanni beachfront. Most bars close around 1 or 2 am. After that, head for to waterfront south of the city, which stays busy until around 4 am in summer. Think bar-hopping, cocktail-sipping and people-watching. In the summer months (June to September), head for the outskirts of the city to find the late night discos.

Al Refettorio is a trendy and fashionable crowded wine bar that is great for Sardinian wines, aperitifs and a wide range of delicious little snacks. It is also a nice place where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner.

Buena Vista Bar

Buena Vista, ideally located in the Old Town, is a bar and restaurant known for its great drinks. Watching the sunset from here is amazing, and at this hour, best paired with their mojito.

Poco Loco

Pizza by the metre, draught beer by the litre, ten-pin bowling and a regular programme of live music; these are all reasons why Poco Loco is a popular hangout. It is open until around 2 am and even features live jazz on Wednesdays.

L'Arcafè is located on the seafront, south of the Old Town. The place is spacious and has outside seating available. They offer live music on weekends and you can also play a game of foosball here.

Il Ruscello is a very popular big open-air disco within the beautiful garden, and with two dance floors. The nightclub is located about 10 kilometres from Alghero, on the road to Olmedo.

Dance until dawn at this summer beach bar on a rocky outcrop not far from the historic city centre. El Tró is one of the city's most well-known and popular night spots.

Miques de Mirall (Pieces of Mirror) is located close to the old city wall by the ocean. They offer average priced food and their staff are friendly. The best time to visit this place is mid-summer. All in all, the ambiance is clean, efficient and welcoming.

Maracaibo Cocktail Bar is considered one of the best beach bars in town. They are known for their beautiful location, tasty cocktails and good music.
