Untere Straße

Untere Straße

Here you can combine shopping with a small break in a café or in a pub: With its own, very distinctive charm, the Untere Straße, which opens into the Heumarkt, offers individualists an interesting shopping offer. The typical Old Town atmosphere in the heart of the city, where the cultural liveliness pulsates in the midst of an idyllically preserved appearance, is worth a visit to this street, which used to be called "Untere Gass" between Neckar and Hauptstraße. The rather small, mostly owner-managed businesses are mainly visited by a regular clientele, who value personal, needs-based advice and choice that sets them apart from the masses. No wonder that in this area the trendy shops, pubs, bars and cafes frolic.

Plöck

Plöck

Familiar, friendly shopping atmosphere, short distances, very good advice and a lot of service. Only a few meters parallel to the Hauptstraße and the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage runs the Plöck. Numerous signs remind of former famous inhabitants like Hegel, Kussmaul, Bunsen or Jaspers. On the ground floors of the densely arranged houses you will find small shops, which are practically next door to each other. It is family-oriented here and one is often advised by the owner or by friendly, competent employees. The offer is varied and interesting - and who goes here off the main road on a journey of discovery, finds some unusual gift ideas. Under the Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, as the opening of the Plöck to the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage, an underground car park offers additional parking in a central location. Three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) there is a weekly market here.

Neuenheim's central axis and shopping street is the Brückenstraße. Here you will find magnificent houses, where small but fine shops are located. Impressive is the versatility of the offer around the Brückenstraße: high-quality and fancy fashion, jewelry, perfume, flowers, trends in home decor, toys, books, sporting goods, galleries and much more. Personal contacts and service are very important for the mainly owner-operated shops. The interesting specialty shops are also complemented by a broad gastronomic offer in the surrounding streets and alleyways as well as around the historic Neuenheimer Marktplatz, where the weekly market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
