Salzburg's highest chairlift and 18 further state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts open perfectly prepared pistes and glacier slopes with untouched powder snow. Action, Thrill and Challenge are the focus of this ski resort. The biggest challenge for alpine skiers is the black piste "Black Mamba", which burns its thighs with its 63 percent gradient. Due to the absolute snow safety at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, the winter fun on the Kitzsteinhorn lasts until May.
Freeriders will love the Kitzsteinhorn with its attractive mogul slopes, three snowparks, Austria's largest superpipe and five clearly marked freeride routes, including powder lines, cliff jumps and natural pipes. At the entrance to each route, a Freeride Info Point provides a topographical map with information on the steepness of the slopes, potential danger spots and the most beautiful lines of the route.
