Citizens of the Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Kingdom of Brunei can visit the United States for up to 90 days without applying for a visa (as well as citizens of Andorra, Lichtenstein, Monaco and San Marino). Best Time to Visit
Colonial Williamsburg has a running program all year long, although it becomes reduced during the after-Christmas winter months. Late spring and early fall bring mild temperatures and are the best off-peak times; do keep in mind that some of Williamsburg's theme- and water parks only operate in summer.

The Williamsburg Area Transport (WAT) serves the city with routes encircling the William & Mary campus and entire city. Paratransit services are in operation, with replica trolleys at the Yorktown Riverfront. The Hampton Roads Transit bus system is connected to WAT in northwestern Newport News and at the Williamsburg Transportation Center.
