Passport/Visa
Citizens wishing to visit Canada must obtain a visitor visa issued by one of the Canadian diplomatic missions unless they hold a valid passport issued by one of the EU countries, Australia or New Zealand. From 2016, visa-exempt countries (except for the US) must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) when arriving to Canada by air. However, travelers don't need an eTA if traveling to Canada by land or sea.
Generally, you can submit your application online but for some countries, after the online application, fingerprints and photo (biometrics) are required.

Best Time to Visit
The breathtaking landscapes of Whistler will leave you speechless whether it is winter or summer. From December to late February travelers' favorite outdoor activities are skiing and snowboarding, while in summer they prefer to unwind and sunbathe; the most adventurous ones experiment with any kind of water sports on the Lost Lake Park's calm waters. For those who travel on a budget the best season to visit Whistler is autumn, when mountains are not yet covered by a thick blanket of snow and the peak season hasn't started yet, meaning that prices are still affordable and won't leave a hole in the pocket.
Some events throughout the year:
December - April:
Fire and Ice Show
June - August:
Whistler half Marathon
September - November
Whistler Film Festival
