Located near the town of Possession, Le Port de la Pointe des Galets is where all cruise ships dock. The cruise terminal is also close to the capital town of Saint-Denis, along a picturesque coastal route. Since it also serves as an industrial port, it provides limited amenities for cruise passengers, mainly offering essential services. There are public buses available at the terminal to reach the capital. Taxis are also easy to come by, however, they tend to lean more towards the expensive side.

Roland Garros Airport (RUN)
This one is the island's main entry point, servicing a number of international destinations and airlines. The airport is located in the immediate vicinity of the capital city of Saint-Denis.
As for amenities, there are two ATM machines at the airport, as well as one exchange bureau. A few restaurants, one on each floor, and a variety of shops are also available in the departures area.
To get there, the bus line 31 functions as the airport shuttle from the city to the airport and vice versa. Bus route T runs from Roland Garros to Pierrefonds airport in Saint-Pierre via multiple destinations on the west coast. Taxis and rental cars are available for hire.

Pierrefonds Airport (ZSE)
The island's second airport, Pierrefonds, is located at its southern end. As it is a small airport, it only has one runway and a few amenities. Bus line T connects the airport with the majority of Reunion's places of interest, passing through multiple beach resorts on the west coast.

Shark Alert
Nearly 20 registered shark attacks have occurred in the waters surrounding Reunion since 2011, 7 of which ended in fatalities. In 2013, when attack frequency reached its peak, surfing, body-boarding and swimming were banned on all Reunion beaches. Travellers are advised to exercise extreme precaution and stay updated on the current regulations.

Public Transport
A network of yellow buses called. Car Jeunes, connects all major destinations on the island. There are 13 lines in total, one of the most popular ones being line T that runs through many beach resorts along Reunions west coast, from Roland Garros Airport in the north to Pierrefonds Airport in the south.
