The oldest theater in Poznań, operating continually in its original building, established in 1875. The theater was an essential part of the task of keeping the spirit of Polishness alive, being the only steady stage where performances were shown in Polish. Teatr Polski (the Polish Theater) offers first performances of Polish and foreign plays, as well as modern takes on national and worlds literary classics. It presents small-cast performances of contemporary modern drama. Currently Teatr Polski houses three stages - Duża Scena (the Big Stage), Malarnia and Galeria. The two smaller ones ensure close contact with the performers, whose emotions can be seen in large closeup.

Many performances with high critical praise and excellent audience reception in and outside Poland appeared in the repertoire of Teatr Wielki. For the theater now is the time of new artistic challenges, including many co-productions with famous world opera stages. The Philharmonic is one of the best known and highly acclaimed musical scenes in Poland. It hosts many prominent artists and bands from all over the world.

This is a monumental Neo-Roman structure designed to be the German emperor’s residence. Today it houses ZAMEK Culture Centre with exhibitions, workshops and concerts attracting huge crowds. Kino Rialto is an art-house, based in the centre of Jeżyce district. It's history dates back to 1937. Nowadays it has the most modern cinema equipment.

An arts cinema in the very heart of the city, with the design and repertoire of a real traditional movie theater. It offers a rich art house program, organizes festivals and retrospectives as well as film series’. In the recent years, the building has undergone a transformation - from a new hall arrangement to the replacing of the screen, the sound systems and the seats.

Kinoteatr Apollo

“Apollo” houses two state-of-the-art theaters, the larger one doubling as a professional performance stage and is able to hold an audience of 390. The cinema’s focus is mainly challenging Polish, European and world films, and in its repertoire also dives into the timeless movie classics. The nickelodeon works closely with theaters around the world, presenting comedic performances as well as more serious ones.
