Tram
The guide was updated:The relatively new tram system run by Nottingham Express Transit (NET) starts at Nottingham Station (Station Street) and runs through the Lace Market, Old Market Square, Royal Centre, right up to Hucknall.
Make sure you have a valid ticket before you board the tram. You can buy your tickets from the ticket machines located on every tram stops. You will also need to validate the ticket before you board the tram.

The nearest airport to Nottingham is the East Midlands Airport.
You can easily reach Nottingham by taking the Skylink bus service just outside the terminal. The buses run 20 minutes daily around the clock. From Nottingham the bus leaves from Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus Station. You can buy your ticket from the Airport Information Desk or the bus driver.
Car rental companies are represented at the airport such as Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise and National Car Rental.
A taxi from the city centre to the airport takes about half an hour.
