If you are unsure whether or not you need to apply for a visa, we recommend contacting the embassy or consulate in your country. International (non-Schengen) travelers need a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the end of their intended trip in order to enter the Schengen zone. Citizens of Schengen countries can travel without a passport, but must have a valid ID with them during their stay.

Temperatures in NImes are generally pleasant throughout the year with a low chance of rain except for some cold weeks during the winter. Temperatures are highest during the months of June to August. In terms of tourists, the busiest months are July, August and February. If you are interested in music, plan your trip to Nimes during June and July to attend the Festival de Nimes where some of the biggest names of the music industry will feature.

Nîmes–Alès–Camargue–Cévennes Airport (FNI) is only ten minutes away from the city of Nîmes. Airport coaches, rental cars, and taxis are available at the airport. No frills airline Ryanair offers services to Nîmes-Garons airport, some 20 km south-east of the city. A shuttle bus service is available.
