The Baroque decor and hall of mirrors in Falk's Bar are the only original features that remain of Hotel Bayerischer Hof, most of which were destroyed during the second world war. The cocktails and long drinks here are expertly crafted by the all-knowing bar staff who can mix together just about anything. Definitely one of the more exclusive bars in Munich, Schumann's prides itself in mixology and unique cocktails that have become a mainstay of the beautiful Hofgarten area. Inside there is enough space for an entire colony to enjoy the mellow tones that seep out of the stereo. Ambiance here is top notch but be sure to make a reservation as it is often fully booked early in the evening.

Cool indie, electro and techno music are usually pounding out of this cosy bar known for its intimate atmosphere. There are even live acts performing on occasion so look out for the dates on the Für Freunde website or their Instagram page for more details. The downside of such a popular venue is that it is often full, so don't go at peak time on a Saturday night expecting to get in right away.
