Best Time to Visit

Airport
The Limoges – Bellegarde Airport is a small and modern airport located 6 kilometres west-northwest of Limoges receiving both domestic and international flights.
There are several taxi options outside the terminal. The company “Allo Artisans Limoges Taxis" (AALT) offers a fixed rate from the airport to the train station. It is possible to pre-book a transfer. But you can also find taxis just outside the airport terminal or the train station.
If you rather take the bus, there is a direct bus between the airport and the bus station in Limoges during the summer months. The journey takes about 20 minutes. There is also an option to take the local bus number 16. This route goes all year but it departs almost 5 kilometres from the airport terminal.

Central Limoges is small and walkable but the city also has an excellent bus network. You can buy a single ticket that is valid for one hour or an all-day ticket. All of them can be bought on board the vehicle.
