If you are unsure whether or not you need to apply for a visa, we recommend contacting the embassy or consulate in your country. International (non-Schengen) travelers need a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the end of their intended trip in order to enter the Schengen zone. Citizens of Schengen countries can travel without a passport, but must have a valid ID with them during their stay.

Best Time to Visit
The most lively months in A Coruña are between June and September, as this is when one will be able to enjoy the warm weather as well as a variety of fiestas and festivals at their best. If you are looking to spend time at the beaches in a relaxed atmosphere you should visit in September, as the majority of tourists will have left and the weather remains pleasant.

A Coruña Airport
A Coruna Airport is located 8 kilometres outside of the city and it mostly deals with domestic flights. The buses at Coruna Airport arrive and depart just outside the terminal building. The service connects La Coruna (Puerta Real) with the airport, with stops in Casino, Plaza de Orense, Avenida A. Molina, Alcampo, Portazgo, Corveira and Vilaboa leaving every 30-60 minutes. The journey takes 25 minutes to the city centre.
You can also fly to Santiago de Compostela to reach La Coruna.

Public Transport
You can easily walk to most places in La Coruna, but if you are thinking about spending a bit of time in the city you can also choose to travel by bus or tram. There is also a tourist tram available if you want to discover the city.
The main bus and train station are located opposite each other at Plaza de Madrid on the south side of the city centre. The local bus system is well organized and provides a reliable service.
