The Skelligs - Na Scealga
The Skellig Islands are world renowned for their ornithological, archaeological and cultural significance. A distinctly rocky landscape ("Skeilig" means rock in the ocean!), Little Skellig is a birdwatcher's paradise with 27,000 pairs of gannets, while Skellig Míchael is the home of the early Christian St. Fionan's Monastery - a UNESCO world heritage site.
