The nearest airport, Fraser Coast Airport/Hervey Bay Airport, is located 2 kilometres south of Urungan on Booral Rd. They have regular transfers between Brisbane, Sydney and local tourist destinations.

Hervey Bay has a good local bus service that circulates town from the main bus station at the Bay Central shopping centre on Boat Harbour Drive. Buses also go to the surrounding towns. It is worth checking, though, whether your accommodation has a pick-up service, which many places do have. If you fancy an emission-free means of getting around, you can rent a bicycle from the ironically named Hervey Bay Rent a Car.
