Helsingør–Helsingborg Ferry — the HH Route
When you're in Helsingborg, don't miss out on the most "Helsingborgian" thing you can do — "tura." This involves taking a ferry between Helsingborg in Sweden and Helsingør (Elsinore) in Denmark, staying on board for a short while without disembarking.
Here's how it works: board the ferry in Helsingborg, settle into the onboard restaurant, order some food and drinks, as well as shopping, and enjoy cruising back and forth across the Öresund/Øresund strait. Several evenings throughout the year, live musicians perform on the boats. The ferry takes 20 minutes to cross the strait and runs two to four times an hour, depending on when you travel. A single "tura" is a round-trip from Helsingborg to Helsingør. Typically, people go for a double or even triple "tura".
