The Schadowstraße is one of the most frequented shopping streets achieving the highest turnovers in Germany. It start at Kömisgallee, pass the Tausendfüßler and reach up to Berliner Allee. The Ackerstrasse in the Flingern district is probably the best example of a place for "young creative guns". Many started to move here years ago as it was one of the less wealthier districts of Düsseldorf. The new Kö-Bogen, located in the centre of Düsseldorf between Königsallee, Schadowstraße and Schadowplatz, is a visible landmark that is home to a number of internationally renowned brands and the Breuninger department store. Characteristic of New York architect Daniel Libeskind’s new structure is the curved facade made of glass and natural white stone, as well as the opening to the courtyard garden.
