San Diego International Airport (SAN)

San Diego International Airport (SAN), located less than 5 km northwest of downtown San Diego, is the region’s primary gateway. Coronado Island lies approximately 11 km from the airport, a journey of about 15–20 minutes by car under normal traffic conditions. Travelers can reach Coronado via rental cars, taxis, or rideshare services using the scenic San Diego-Coronado Bridge. Alternatively, public transportation options include taking the MTS Route 992 bus from the airport to downtown San Diego and then boarding a ferry across San Diego Bay to Coronado.
