Located approximately 4 miles (6 km) south of Cork, Cork Airport is the second-largest of the three principal international airports in Ireland. Travelling from Cork Airport to the city centre is convenient with the Bus Éireann 225 or 226 buses, which take approximately 20 minutes to reach Parnell Place Bus Station, the city's main bus hub. Tickets can be acquired on the bus, at the ticket machine outside the terminal at the bus stop, or through the TFI Go App. For those who prefer taxis, a taxi rank is conveniently situated just outside the terminal building. Additionally, various car rental companies have a presence at Cork Airport, offering travellers flexibility in transportation options.

The main bus station, Parnell Place, serves as the departure point for intercity services. Cork also boasts a rail network, with lines extending from Cobh to Midleton and from Cork City to Mallow, home to Mallow Castle. To enhance the convenience of public transit, travellers can opt for a TFI Leap Card, providing savings of up to 30% compared to cash fares.
