Cagliari Elmas Airport (CAG)
Cagliari Elmas Airport is located 6 km northwest of the city. The easiest way to reach it is via train from Cagliari with the "Elmas Aeroporto" line. Trains work from 5 am to 9 pm and run every 20 minutes. The trip takes around 7 minutes and the stop is only 5 minutes from the terminal. Tickets are available at the station and on the Trenitalia website.
It is also possible to get to the airport by bus. The bus leaves from Piazza Matteotti every hour, and the trip lasts around 15 minutes. Inside the airport, you will find two bus stations: one near the arrivals hall functioning from 8:40 am until 11:30 pm, and the other next to departures functioning from 5:20 am to 10:30 pm. Normally buses leave every 30 minutes and the tickets are available at the newsstand in the airport.
