Public Transport

A public bus service links all parts of Brest to one another, and a train service is available from the central station for trips further afield. The main station for both is in the Place du 19eme Régiment d'Infanterie. The Brest tramway offers a convenient way to traverse the city, linking the western area of Porte de Plouzané to the northeastern gates of Porte de Gouesnou and Porte de Guipavas. With an end-to-end journey time of just 38 minutes, it's a speedy option for getting around. Operated by RD Brest and part of the wider Bibus network, this single tram line is an essential component of the city's public transport system. Public transportation tickets may be bought at ticket vending machines with either cash or card; day tickets with unlimited rides are available and may be a good idea for a full day of sightseeing.
