La Puerta Falsa is an Anthony Bourdain approved traditional spot that has not changed in decades. The menu has also remained largely unchanged since the restaurant was founded in 1816. Try their amazingly authentic ajiaco chicken soup, the hearty Changua breakfast broth and excellent tamales. Don't skip the dessert — their Chocolate Completo hot chocolate is a must.
