Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Lake Balaton is during the summer, the hottest months are July and August, where the temperatures are around 25°.
Summer is a good time to visit not least because of the Balaton Sound, which takes place in the beginning of July - it's one of the largest and most colourful open-air electronic beach festivals in Europe. The festival is known for hosting the greatest artists and DJs in the world and also for its amazing after-movie, an experience you won’t wanna miss out on!
Another important event in the summer (during the month of August) are the Balatonfüred Wine Weeks, one of the most prestigious and highest standard wine festivals of the Balaton region, where you can try many different kinds of delicious local wines.
