Best Time To Visit
The best time to visit Atlanta is during the spring (March-May) when the weather is mild, hotel prices are somewhat lower and the city hosts a few outdoor concerts and events, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival and the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.
Summers in Atlanta are known for being fairly hot and humid, hotel prices are high, and the city becomes crowded with tourists, but that's when most festivals take place, such as the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and the Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival. Be aware that September is hurricane season in Atlanta.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
Serving over 100 million passengers every year, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is currently the busiest airport in the world.
MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) operates light rail services from the airport to the city center and throughout the metropolitan area. Taxis are located in the Yellow Bus aisle. A taxi ride to Five Points can take from 15 to 60 minutes depending upon traffic – fares vary according to the number of passengers and the amount of luggage.
Car rental services are available a few minutes away from the airport via the SkyTrain. Hotel shuttle services are available on the Purple aisle in the Ground Transportation area at the west end of the Domestic Terminal.

Public Transport
A convenient and affordable way to travel around Atlanta and visit the main attractions is by MARTA, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. MARTA includes a network of buses and trains that serve the metropolitan area. The rail lines connect key locations such as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, downtown Atlanta, and various suburbs.
A Breeze Card is a reusable, contactless smart card used for fare payment on the MARTA system. Riders can load the card with stored value or specific fare products, such as single trips, round trips, or multi-day passes, and simply tap the card at the fare gates to access MARTA buses and trains. Breeze Vending Machines are located at the MARTA stations.

While taxis are available in Atlanta, they are not as ubiquitous as in some other major cities. Hailing a cab on the street can be difficult outside of busy areas like downtown and Midtown. However, you can find taxi stands at major hotels, transportation hubs, and popular tourist spots. Many people find ride-sharing services, such as Uber and Lyft to be more convenient and readily available.

In Atlanta, you will find from the well-known chain pharmacies such as CVS, and Rite Aid to smaller neighborhood ones. Working hours may vary, but a few are open 24/7.
