Det är Belgiens äldsta botaniska trädgård. Universitetet anlade trädgården 1738 för sina läkarstudenter. Idag är det Leuvens kommun som förvaltar denna unika plats. Man har anlagt ett tropiskt växthus, en vatten- och fruktträdgård och den sjunkna trädgården. Det, tillsammans med picknick-bänkarna, blomsterhavet och konstprojekten, gör den botaniska trädgården till en älskad plats för invånare och besökare att andas ut på.
