As in most cities, the worn down industrial areas sooner or later become the new hot spots after they've been established by the creative crew. Minneapolis is no exception. The Northeast Minneapolis Art District is home to a great number of artist studios, art galleries and performance spaces. Walk around this unique neighbourhood distinguished by picturesque, family-run businesses, rail yards and industrial buildings, kitschy watering holes and a wide range of restaurants.

Hampstead Heath is one of the largest parks in London. It sits atop one of the highest points in London, offering excellent views of the London skyline. The skyscrapers of Canary Wharf can be seen along with St Paul's Cathedral and other landmarks. The Heath features grassy fields, wooded areas, and a number of large ponds. The water is never particularly warm, but do pack swimwear just in case the mood strikes you.

Luxembourg's 'Little Switzerland' is defined by splendid landscapes and unusual rock formations, which can be explored on foot via the Mullerthal Hiking Trail, spanning a total of 112 kilometres. The regional capital is Echternach, the oldest city in Luxembourg, which is worth a visit for its historic Benedictine abbey, Roman Villa remains, and fantastic local produce.

Bikes are an important part of the transportation system in Vancouver. Navigate the numerous cycle paths and bike routes, ranging from easy, flat terrain around Stanley Park to mountain biking on the famous North Shore. You can safely move through the city at your pace and see more than you would on foot or by bus. Vancouver's moderate climate makes it possible to cycle almost year-round.
