If you saw the movie Frida, the studio and home of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo is a must stop on your visit to Mexico City — some of the scenes were filmed here. The complex of buildings is a great example of functional architecture, with its abundance of soft light and free flowing creative atmosphere. The houses are linked with an elevated walkway, representing the separate yet linked lives the two great artists lived. Check for temporary visits before going! Some areas of the house might be closed if there is no exhibit.

Built in the early 14th century in Norman Gothic style, Palazzo Chiaramonte Steri, one of the symbols of Palermo, bears witness to a multifaceted history as both a tribunal and prison under the Inquisition from 1600 to 1782. Today, it serves as the headquarters of the University of Palermo, offering visitors a glimpse into history through its marvellous lecture halls adorned with intricate 14th-century wooden ceilings. Not only does Costa Maya have excellent conditions for diving and snorkeling, it also boasts a true rarity: Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve is a coral reef located around 18 miles off the coast of Mahahual. As part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world, it is home to a diverse array of marine life as well as dozens of sunken ships, some of which date back to the 16th century. You can find a multitude of dive centers along Mahahual's boardwalk, Malecón.
