The Dominica Museum is housed in a can’t-miss orange building conveniently located opposite the cruise ship berth, adjacent to the tourist information centre. The museum presents a small but intriguing collection of exhibits showcasing a rich tapestry of the island's heritage, encompassing captivating artefacts and photographs that depict natural wonders like coral reefs, and historic milestones such as the slave trade and the origins of the Kalinago people.

Dennis Highlands Golf Course, opened in 1984, offers a scenic and challenging experience for golfers of all levels. The par-71 course meanders through a picturesque landscape of wildflowers, oaks, and pine trees, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. The on-site pro shop provides all the necessary equipment and apparel, while the clubhouse features a restaurant for relaxing and refueling after your game.

Further inland, in the southern part of the island, lie the so-called masticochoria (mastic villages). These well-preserved, fortified villages date from the 14th-16th centuries and were centres for the cultivation of mastic. Mastic is the sweet-tasting gum of the lentisk bush, which was exported all over the Mediterranean – and the area still produces around 300 tonnes of mastic every year. The most picturesque villages are Pyrgi, with its houses decorated in black and white geometric patterns called xysta Mesta, where towers and walls surround a baffling labyrinth of village streets as well as Olympoi and Vessa are all a worth a visit.

The Josiah Dennis Manse, built in 1736, stands as one of the oldest buildings in Massachusetts. Once home to the town's namesake, Reverend Josiah Dennis, the manse now serves as a museum showcasing artifacts from his life and the early days of Dennis. Explore exhibits dedicated to his children's room, spinning and weaving techniques, and other aspects of 18th-century life. The complex also includes the 1745 schoolhouse, offering a glimpse into the history of education in the region.
