Located at the old Euskalduna shipyard, Itsasmuseum dives into the city’s maritime past. Exhibitions focus on the estuary’s environment, the history of trade, and the development of shipbuilding. On Mount Zapateira lies the ancient hill fort of Castro de Elvina. Consisting of three concentric walled enclosures, there are two parts to this settlement: one from the Bronze Age Celtic (Castro) period and one from the Roman. Visit to discover a typical Iberian ruin away from the crowds.
