Lord Howe Island is great for walking and hiking. Although only 11 km long and 2 km wide, the island has many bushwalking options for a wide range of abilities. This ancient structure was built to measure the Nile’s water level during flood season and played a key role in predicting the year’s harvest. It’s tucked away on Rawda Island in the Nile, close to central Cairo. In the evenings, large candles are lit nearby, giving the place a calm, almost magical feel.

A small village called La Chole, located only 25 minutes away from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, houses a fascinating archaeological site.
