What began as a coordinated Thursday-night event has evolved into a year-round, self-guided art experience that celebrates Downtown LA’s creative community every day. Galleries, studios, and cultural spaces follow their own schedules now, so you can put together your own “art walk” whenever you’re in the neighborhood.

On the north side of Dublin Bay lies the mythic Howth peninsula. An exclusive neighbourhood, the island is home to a yachting harbour, artisan restaurants, and a quality farmer's market. Howth's natural beauty makes it a true gem for a wanderer looking to escape the city. The dramatic cliffs and hill walks welcome explorers. For an interesting hike, make sure to follow the "Bog of Frogs" loop! Howth Summit Viewpoint and a stroll on Claremont Beach offer breathtaking views, while Howth Castle, St Mary's Abbey, and "Ye Olde Hurdy Gurdy Radio Museum" provide a sense of the peninsula's heritage. As well as this, visitors can take the ferry to Ireland's Eye Bird Sanctuary in summer.

With its Frank Gehry-designed interior and wonderful collection of masterpieces by Degas, Picasso, Rembrandt, Goya, and Rodin, the Norton Simon is one of Los Angeles's best-kept secrets. The museum is set in beautiful gardens and exhibits one of the most impressive private collections of American, European, and Asian art in the world.

Part of the eastern wall, Tha Phae Gate is a 700 year old red brick wall. It is recommended to take a walk around this magnificent wall, that used to be the only entrance to the city. Today, it is the site of many community activities, like the Chiang Mai Flower Festival in February, the Thai New Year of Songkran in April and the market stalls on Sundays which attracts flocks of tourists.
