In Varberg, there are many beautiful places where you can fish. You can find both popular fishing waters as well as more obscure fishing spots that will amaze you with their charming landscape. The harbours and the sandy beaches are suitable places for coastal fishing where flatfish where flatfish are commonly caught. In various locations, such as the peninsulas of Rödskär, Subbe, Getterön, and Norra Näs, you may also find sea trout, salmon, cod, haddock, and pollocks. However, it's important to note that these species are protected, and fishing is restricted to specific months of the year.

Located in the middle of the beech forest, Öströö is home to one of Sweden's largest populations of Gotlandish sheep and Highland Cattle cows. The farm features a handicraft shop where they sell sheepskin products and straw work. Additionally, there's a butcher's shop where their own ecological products are sold, including tasty lamb and other delicacies. Visitors can also embark on a safari to see lambs and cows in the natural habitat.

At Filmbyn (Film Village), you can experience scenes from classical children’s films, e.g. Emil in Lönneberga, the Bullerby Children, and Pippi Longstocking. Step into the world of film via a magical exhibition, created in the spirit of Astrid Lindgren. You’ll see classical film clips, original props, and sing along with movie music. While you’re there, you might like to visit its café, shop and one or other of the 12 filming locations nearby, such as Katthult and Bullerby.
