This is a museum built on an old church where you can time travel back in time to modern age. Here you can admire prehistoric remains, great paintings from the modern area and origins of the city walls going back to Roman times. The Orchid Expo is an annual event in Boquete that takes place at the Flower and Coffee Fairgrounds around Easter time. In 1540, the church became the seat of the Chapter of St Bavo, and St Bavo became the patron saint of the church. Later, in 1559, the church was converted into the cathedral of the Bishops of Ghent.
