In the heart of Skövde, Helénsparken is a charming green oasis featuring a playground and quaint shops housed in historic red cottages. The park boasts a stage occasionally used for local events, and within its grounds stands Helénstugan, Skövde's oldest building. Believed to have been constructed in the early 18th century, Helénstugan is a residential gem that survived the significant town fire of 1759, making it a unique testament to Skövde's history. Named after its last inhabitants, Lotta and Petter Helén, the cabin preserves a piece of the town's architectural heritage.

Located directly opposite the Serbian Orthodox cathedral, the Baroque Roman Catholic cathedral fills the eastern end of Piaţa Unirii. Have a look above the altar to marvel at a painting carried out by Michelangelo Unterberger of the Viennese Fine Art Academy.

This is the first private museum to organise modern and contemporary art exhibitions in the city. It was founded in 2004 and is located in an old warehouse by the harbour. Istanbul Modern Museum offers two main exhibition halls; the museum’s permanent collection is displayed on the upper floor and the temporary exhibition hall and photography gallery on the lower floor.
