The only active volcano in Continental Europe, Mount Vesuvius is a popular destination for excursions, and offers a stunning panorama over the Naples bay, as well as a thrilling opportunity to look inside its crater. Throughout July, the festival spirit begins when the sun is still high in the sky, and après beach at Solgården in Tylösand is a classic, to say the least.

This monument commemorates the historic battle fought here by Che Guevara and a band of rebels, a decisive battle in their struggle to overturn the Batista regime. The original train cars have been in place since 1958. Visit the small museum to gain further insight into the battle and the revolution more generally.
