When strolling around the city centre it is impossible not to notice this majestic white building and, if you are impressed by its exterior, you should definitely see the spectacular interior decor. Built in 1910 by the architects Jules Voinot and Marius Toudoire, it once represented the city forum and today certainly is one of the main touristic spots, standing in stark contrast to the surrounding buildings. The Grand Post Office also hosts a museum dedicated to the history of Algerian post and telecommunications.

Ban Jelačić Square is the heart of Zagreb and a popular meeting spot. This pedestrian area is surrounded by buildings of different architectural styles and features the Manduševac fountain. A statue of Ban Josip Jelačić, whose square is named after, on a horse dominates the square.

Today Volosko is also synonymous with fine gastronomy – from typical taverns offering fish and other traditional dishes of the local area, to superb gourmet restaurants that are listed in the most prestigious international restaurant guides – Volosko offers all of that, and much more. The Grand Aquarium is an attraction enjoyable to the whole family. Here you can see 600 different species of marine animals and watch them up close - there is even a contact basin where visitors can touch the fish directly. Do not miss the underwater ride in the submarine at the end.
