The little town of Boquete offers a good selection of restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets. Since Boquete is an agricultural town, chefs have access to the freshest organic vegetables and herbs. One praiseworthy local restaurant, The Rock, is located on the banks of the Palo Alto River, just outside of central Boquete. The large windows allow for fantastic views up the valley, and the fireplace seating area is a cosy spot at night. "Food without pretences" is their motto, and the menu focuses on locally available produce and meats. Steaks and ribs are cooked to perfection and may be accompanied by artisan beers made exclusively for the restaurant or the perfect wine. Thursday is All-You-Can-Eat Rib Night. If you are in Boquete, a meal at The Rock is a must.

The city of Buraidah is home to the largest camel market in the world. Every morning at 6 am thousands of dromedaries, as well as goats and sheep, are bought and sold here, along with saddles and other accessories. The Arabian one-hump camels are traditionally prized in Saudi Arabia as a source of protein (meat and milk), as well as leather. The best specimen are thoroughbred racing animal and are kept to keep up the country's culture camel racing. The market is an integral part of Saudi Arabia, and an excellent way to experience Arabian culture. You'll find many friendly smiles, baby camels, and a lively hectic atmosphere common for all animal markets.

Calblanque Regional Park is a spot of rare natural beauty open to visitors all year round. This protected natural area boasts stunning landscapes, a beautiful shoreline with multiple small bays and coves, and a multitude of trails to explore. There is very little tourist infrastructure, however, so do make sure to bring along all necessary supplies - and perhaps a picnic!

Catseye Beach is a heavenly spot for relaxing, sunbathing and swimming. You will also find a beach sports hut where you can rent equipment like catamarans, kayaks, windsurfers, paddleboards and snorkelling gear. There is a chance that you'll spot local wildlife like cockatoos and sea turtles.
