This church and monastery complex is one of the highest-rated in Naples, and you shouldn't miss it if you're interested in art and history. Founded by Augustinian monks in 1343, it was renovated many times throughout history and hosts interesting examples of different art styles, such as its scenographic stairwell entrance built in the 18th century and fascinating sculptures and frescoes.

The Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is hard to miss—by day, it’s a sleek glass cube reflecting the city; by night, its illuminated limestone core glows from within. The museum holds around 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, much of it tucked beneath the square in repurposed tunnels. It’s home to the world’s largest collection of works by Otto Dix, including his famous triptych Großstadt. The collection also includes pieces by Adolf Hölzel, Willi Baumeister, and other key figures in modern and contemporary German art.

Indian Canyons is a true desert gem—an oasis tucked right in the rocky hills just outside Palm Springs. This land, home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, is rich with history and natural beauty, offering trails lined with California fan palms, trickling streams, and seasonal waterfalls that reach their peak flow in the cooler months. A can’t-miss here is the easy-going 1-mile hike along Palm Canyon, a scenic trail that winds through one of North America's largest palm oases. Walk at your own pace under the towering palms, where sunlight streams through the leaves and creates a natural canopy—miles away from the desert heat and noise. At the trail’s end, you’ll find a small trading post where you can rest, grab a cold drink or hot coffee, and take in the views from under the palms.

Christmas Island is one of the world's truly spectacular tropical seabird rookeries. It's not just the number and variety of seabirds or their magnificent splendour that make the island so remarkable, but also their sheer visibility. Around 80,000 seabirds nest here annually, with 23 breeding or resident species. Birds can be seen and heard everywhere on the island, at just about any time of the day. With just a little effort, birdwatchers can easily tick off a full list of residents in a busy week or a more relaxed fortnight. However, the elusive Christmas Island hawk owl keeps many coming back. More than 100 vagrant and migratory bird species have been recorded here, including eight breeding seabird species and one subspecies. The most numerous is the wide-ranging red-footed booby, which nests in colonies in trees in many parts of the coastal shore terraces. You may see the endangered Christmas Island frigatebird soaring above Settlement — it's the world's rarest frigatebird and nests only on the island. The golden form of the white-tailed tropic bird is an endemic subspecies unique to Christmas Island. Known locally as the golden bosun bird, this stunning bird is graceful in flight and has been adopted as the island's fauna emblem.
