Fells Point, a historic waterfront neighborhood on the Patapsco River, has been a cornerstone of Baltimore since 1763. At Pézenas, which is so close and unique, UNESCO now protects this "intangible cultural heritage" that is so heart-felt and generously shared by the local residents, making it part of the place's DNA or better yet, its spirit. Maintained by the Sandusky Library, the Follett House Museum, itself listed on the National Register of Historical Landmarks, features an array of artifacts and exhibits that chronicle the history of Sandusky from its very beginnings. Included is the prison camp memorial.
