The Vidhana Soudha is one of India's finest pieces of architecture. Located in the northwest part of Cubbon Park, the Neo-Dravidian granite palace is a blend of styles from across India, boasting the country’s most recognisable symbol, the four-headed gold lion of Ashoka. Across the road, you can spot Karnataka’s High Court building, Attara Kacheri, with its impressive red brick and monumental Corinthian column facade.

The MacRitchie Reservoir is Singapore’s oldest water reservoir. Its main purpose is to collect rainwater and provide drinkable water to Singapore’s residents. Additionally, the reservoir is the central feature in MacRitchie Reservoir Park. The MacRitchie Nature Trail is a series of boardwalks that vary in length and take you through the tropical rainforest. The TreeTop Walk — one of the park's main draws — is a suspension bridge that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the forest below. On your walk, you will definitely see some monkeys. They are definitely cute, but can be a little naughty, especially if you are carrying any food.

Once home to China’s emperors, the Forbidden City has more than 800 buildings and nearly 10,000 rooms. This vast imperial household opened to the public in 1949, and it’s remarkably well-preserved. The Hall of Supreme Harmony, covered in thousands of dragon motifs, hosted grand ceremonies, while the Palace of Heavenly Purity was where emperors lived, with bedrooms and private halls. Walking through the courtyards and along the red walls, it’s easy to feel the scale and ritual of life here.

This beautiful building was first named a church in the 14th century and later given the status of Cathedral in 1601. It's a Gothic masterpiece, where the atmospheric darkness, the presence of an organ and countless statues create a mysterious and solemn atmosphere. Admission is free.
