The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world's largest arts festival, transforming the Scottish capital each August into a global stage. For three weeks, the city surrenders to a creative explosion where every conceivable space becomes an art venue: from grand theatres and pubs to parks and shipping containers. The programme is vast and open-access, spanning comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and music, featuring everyone from emerging artists to household names. Laestadius Museum became the residence of the Pajala's first pastor, the temperance campaigner, botanist and scientist Lars Levi Laestadius. The place was used for many years after his death as a tenant house and also during World War II as a military barracks.
