Perhaps San Jose’s most whimsical treasure is the Winchester Mystery House. The Victorian-crafted mansion was built by Sarah Winchester, the wily heir to the Winchester repeating rifle fortune. As she believed she was haunted by the spirits of those killed by the rifle, Winchester built the house in an effort to thwart the spirits. The labyrinth was constructed and added onto until Winchester’s death, resulting in one of the strangest feats of architecture known to man. Endless stairs, corridors, mazes and secret passageways lead tour guides to instruct guests to stay with the group.

In 1864, when Timisoara was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, the Jews of the empire were emancipated and in the same year, they were granted the right to build this impressive synagogue. It was turned into the Romanian Jewish History Museum years later.

Willow Glen is San Jose’s chic urban district. Graced by trees and a warming sense of community charm, Willow Glen has everything from eateries to pharmacies. Countless cafes, coffee houses, restaurants, retail shops, boutiques and businesses make the area a quintessential epicenter of activities. Free parking along the streets and public parking lots make Willow Glen that much more accessible. Be sure to look into which festivals are taking place, for Willow Glen hosts annual street festivities that showcase both San Jose and the greater South Bay area.

If Timisoara is called "the city of flowers" it is largely due to this amazing park that offers a wide array of different, colourful flowers and lots of white benches that combine to create an extremely romantic atmosphere. Also, this park is pretty close to Bega River, so if you still feel like walking a bit, you should definitely check it out as well.
