Espoo’s lovely islands are within easy reach from Helsinki. In summer, a ferry service will take you to outdoor recreation islands such as Iso Vasikkasaari with an island restaurant. In the mainland, enjoy Espoo’s 40 km long Waterfront Walkway. There are places to stop for a bite to eat and drink, and you can try swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, a RIB ride or wakeboarding. During cold winters the frozen sea offers the perfect setting for skiing, snowshoe walking and ice fishing.

A short scenic journey into Byron Bay's hinterland are private botanical gardens filled with extraordinary crystals and subtropical plant life. Walk among beautiful gardens and rainforest on the Buddha Walk, Rainforest Walk or around the labyrinth. The Peace Experience offers an enriching sound-healing bath, meditation session and Kora Walk around the Kalachakra stupa for world peace, a sacred monument that has been blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Witness water dance at the iconic Dubai Fountain, located at the base of the Burj Khalifa. One of the largest fountains in the world, the sound and light show shoots 83,000 litres of water as high as 150 metres in the air. Each brightly illuminated jet sways in time to music, producing what has become one of Dubai's most popular shows. Situated outside The Dubai Mall, make time to shop between evening water shows, which begin every 30 minutes. The show is free. However, to get the best view you can get on one of the boats cruising the fountain water, or book a spot on the footbridge.

Housed in a magnificent Jugend building, the museum presents the largest permanent exhibition of archaeology in the country and introduces visitors to Finnish life before industrialisation.
