Take a tour of the Palace of Westminster, also referred to as the Houses of Parliament, and experience 1,000 years of history. Visitors are welcomed into the building through Westminster Hall, before following in the footsteps of the Queen at the State Opening of Parliament. Marvel at the Victorian splendour of the Lords Chamber and see the famous green benches in the Commons Chamber. Audioguides and tours are available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and Mandarin.

Constructed by the end of the 18th century, the Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace is an elaborately decorated relic of Bangalore's royal past. Originally used as a summer retreat, the palace now serves as a detailed museum of Tipu Sultan's life and glorious conquests, while the Venkataramanaswamy Temple, a 300-year-old temple built by the Wodeyars, is right next door. The ruins of Bangalore Fort are also located a few steps away, bearing the testimony of Tipu's struggle against the British Raj in India.

Among the many mosques in Djerba’s villages, two should not be missed. The first one is the Turkish mosque in El May. Located in the heart of the island, with whitewashed walls, this fortified mosque is simply beautiful. El May’s market is also worth a visit. In Mellita, another village near the airport, their 9th-century mosque is one of the oldest in the world.

Hampstead Heath is one of the largest parks in London. It sits atop one of the highest points in London, offering excellent views of the London skyline. The skyscrapers of Canary Wharf can be seen along with St Paul's Cathedral and other landmarks. The Heath features grassy fields, wooded areas, and a number of large ponds. The water is never particularly warm, but do pack swimwear just in case the mood strikes you.
