In the centre of Skanderbeg Square stands a prominent statue of Albania’s national hero, George Kastrioti Skanderbeg. Skanderbeg Square is the social and cultural centre of Tirana, this is an excellent place for people watching and absorbing the daily life of the denizens of this city. The famous Equestrian Statue is located on the Southern Side of the Square.

This Roman Catholic church had to be rebuilt after suffering severe damage from the war - the mix of old and new is what makes it so unique. The bishop seat is made of steel, and the windows are stained glass. Come here for a moment of peace and tranquillity.
