Today, Sint Pieter is Maastricht’s most popular residential district, not just for its beautiful houses but because of its ideal location between city and green. And it still feels like its own town, with its own social life, and charm, even though it’s just a stone’s throw away from the city park. In fact, it has the best of both worlds: village and city. Nature and culture.

The magnificent Bab Rouah, the "Gate of the Winds", is monumental. It stands out for the richness of its adornments and has become an exhibition gallery. Works of famous Moroccan artists have found their venue under the elaborate arches of the four square rooms.

Værket can rightly be entitled the cultural centre of excellence in Randers and Central Jutland, as each year, more than 100,000 visitors attend more than 400 arrangements: from ballets and musicals to R&B concerts and movies. On top, this venue also organises events at the Foyer- and Café Stage, and as these are free of charge, they provide a great opportunity for both children and adults alike to enjoy jazz concerts, circus performances, classical concerts and exhibitions.
