Swimming, sunning, relaxing, and, perhaps, playing next to a beautiful inland lake is what many people dream of on a beautiful summer's day. In the surroundings of Vimmerby, there are lots of small lakes ideal for swimming and fishing. At several of these lakes, the local council has set up leisure areas with sandy beaches and jetties.

Oceanfront Beauty, Sea Turtle Haven Quiet and relaxed, Juno has beautiful beachfront and beauty. Loggerhead Park highlights Atlantic Ocean serenity, while Juno Dunes Natural Area preserves native eco systems. Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a sea turtle sanctuary, is open to the public and welcomes all to see these gentle giants.

The stunning Santa Maria Bay is a must see public beach, a protected marine sanctuary excellent for snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach. Easy reachable by car and boat, it offers a wide variety of activities to do, from scuba diving excursions to kayaking.

XVIII century construction from the Baroque period, ascribed to José Sierra The church is situated in the old part of the town, just beside the Nobel house of the Orduña’s. This construction was built between 1740 and 1753 over the plot of land where the primitive temple used to be and dates from the Christian Conquest (XIII century). The church was burnt and plundered during the Civil War and was again changed in 1962, shortening its length and changing the ground floor, this led to the loss of the cupola and the transept. Between 1995 and 1996 we undertook the task of renovation and interior decoration in order to save the present day building.
